Congratulations to the 167 teams that will progress onto Week 2 where they will be split into 28 brackets, there were 641 official entries with some close contests & great tipping in week 1.

Well done to The Devious Bulls who knocked out my beloved The Working White Fangs in bracket 31. It came down to the final NBA game with the Mavericks covering the -3.5 spread against the Bulls & crushing the dreams of thousands of TWWF fans!

The Mavericks victory was great news for Goggles16 in bracket 103 as The Project Gentoos just pipped Erupting Drakes.

There was some seriously strong tipping in some off the brackets with The Loving Koalas in bracket 18 & The Exposed Chimpanzees over in bracket 117 just 2 off the teams who hit perfect scores to progress. Good luck to bR1ghT_n3ss & nmft in week 2. Unfortunately a perfect score wasn't enough for Stepover Heifers to progress in bracket 34, condolences to PeaceLoveBonsai who lost out on the tiebreaker.

We did see our 1st official walk over which was good news for GirlBot, guaranteeing at least one off her four teams a place in the next round.

Steve was leading the sledging over in bracket 28 with his team Sprinting Zed Heads easily progressing into week 2. Steve has also called out Stanysurfer on twitter so lets hope they get drawn in the same bracket in round 2.

Amazingly there has been a draw even after the tiebreaker, JusticeAlbatraoz used the same selections for both his teams in the same bracket causing the tie. Stewards are congregating to determine if they both go through, get knocked out or settle it with a duck race!

Don't worry if like me your team got knocked out in week one (or in bigwil's case 8 teams!) or you don't have a beta team as there is a new tournament starting shortly. NFTeams are working with the Australian Open and their AO Metaverse NFT project. All 10,000 teams will be eligible to enter beta#2 which will run during the first week off the upcoming Grand Slam. Prizes include AO metaverse NFT's, signed merch & 2 tickets to the men's final. Bookies have opened up Steve_Ace as the early favourite to claim the tennis themed competition.
