Don't Mention The M Word! - Monday 27th December

Wow! I can't believe it's already been a week since the last edition, this has partly been due to Christmas but also partly because I was sulking about my merch not arriving. I can confirm I'm mostly over my tantrum, however the M word shall not be mentioned until it arrives. It's my birthday in November so hopefully it's here by then!

Massive congratulations to Alderon on winnning the prize to go to next year's World Cup in Qatar. It was great to see that ticket number 280 belonged to an active member of the community. I can only imagine the uproar if the winning ticket belonged to someone who didn't own any teams & had just bought a mint pass to burn off opensea. There are still 4 prizes to be won & there is lots of speculation as to what the next prize will be. Next month's draw falls on Australia Day, so maybe tickets to a big Australian sporting event may be up for grabs.

There have been over 80 sales in the past week & here is my top 10 countdown of sales over the past 7 days.

10: Centralised Gators 0.06 eth

Centralised Gators starts the top 10 countdown with a sale price of 0.06, which was the lowest sale price of the week. With the floor price continuing to hover around mint price it will be interesting to see how many more opportunities will be available to buy at such a low price with tournaments commencing in the new year.

9: The Trying Zed Heads 0.075 eth

The Trying Zed Heads was one of eleven 'beta' teams to change owners in the past week. Amazingly four of these were sold for under mint price. Partying One Eyes were another 'beta' team to be sold for 0.075eth but were just pipped to 9th spot as we have to MZGA!

The other 6 remaining 'beta' sales were:

8: The Guarded Chimps 0.079 eth

The Guarded Chimps have stats of 301 & grab 8th spot as this could turn out to be a great buy in the future at just under mint price. The Broken Ducklings who have stats of a massive 338 were unlucky to miss out on a top 10 spot as they were also a fantastic pick up at just 0.095 eth. Transforming Bullocks were the other 300+ stat team to change owners this week when they sold for 0.14 eth.

7: Arrogant Drop Bears 0.3 eth

Arrogant Drop Bears were one of three teams with a Bitcoin crown to be sold this week. There was one team sold with a Eth crown and all four teams had the same sale price of 0.3 eth. The Arrogant Drop Bears pipped the Catatonic Foxes, The Mauling Simians & The Activated Apes to fourth spot just because I only noticed the three

other sales just before I published this article!

6: The Farting Pouncers 0.09 eth

Steve mentioned in one of the podcasts this week that he is still to find the right artist at the right price to design the Green NFTeam caps. In the meantime The Farting Pouncers could turn out to be a great investment at just 0.09 eth. Two other teams with Green NFT caps also changed owners:

• Snarling Undead 0.125 eth

• Floor Sweeping Stalkers 0.17 eth

Two teams with Black NFTeam caps were sold in the past week:

• The Wuhan Ducks 0.15 eth

• Electrifying Primates 0.175 eth

5: Kneeling Shorthorns 0.45 eth

Not many Gold teams change hands, however the Kneeling Shorthorns did with a sale price of 0.45 eth. The current floor price on Gold teams is currently 0.499 for The Moscow Zed Heads.

4: The Cairo Shorthorns 0.071 eth

If it wasn't for three Bored Ape teams been sold in the past week The Cairo Shorthorns would have been a 'lock in' for the number one spot. We still don't know if the sponsor background will provide any extra benefits in the future, however picking one up at under mint price is an amazing bargain. The current floor price on these teams is over 3 times the price paid for The Cairo Shorthorns, with Delicate Walkers available at 0.26 eth.

3: The Smelly Bored Apes 2 eth

Bored Ape teams battle out the top 3 positions in the countdown, the only hard decision was picking which order they would go in. The Smelly Bored Apes are just one of three Bored Ape teams with a sponsor background and become one of thirteen teams to be sold at 2 eth or higher.

2: Counting Bored Apes 0.89 eth

In second spot & just missing out on top spot are the Counting Bored Apes. It's amazing that two Bored Ape teams have been sold for under 1 eth this week. The Counting Bored Apes also come with decent stats totalling 257.

1: The Finland Bored Apes 0.85 eth

In top spot of my favourite sales of the past week is The Finland Bored Apes. At 0.85 eth they were slightly cheaper then the Counting Bored Apes, they also have slightly better stats with a total of 273 & in my opinion are the better looking team off the two.
